I have a large, forested property and harvest a lot of wood for winter heating, as well as do a lot of bushwhacking and clearing. There's also a fair bit of outdoor carpentry involved (building woodsheds, fixing my barn, etc). I've been looking for a shirt that was woven tightly which would offer some protection against burrs, stinging nettle, thorns, etc but also offer freedom of movement and not be too hot in the warmer months. I'd read a lot about Big Bill garments but none were available locally so I decided to try and online order, which arrived promptly. The garment appears to be well made, although I have to say the thickness isn't quite as much as I expected, but it moves well without having any elastic needed in the fibres . That said...I never got to try it yet, and have had to send it back because the sizing is enormous! I'm 5' 10, 240 lbs; not a bodybuilder but not a fat guy either. The XL was ENORMOUSLY oversized for me, so I'm returning it for a Large to see if that will work. I'm surprised because I'm typically an XXL in most clothing! At any rate will update the review once the new shirt arrives and I have field tested it.
